I am using Yahoo mail beta for some days.

Indeed I have got it when Lifehacker published the hack, switch from usa to uk or canada and you will get Yahoo mail beta. This probably no longer works.

Any way it is simply great.

It's features are

1.Ajax:

With great use of ajax whole mail is in one page. That is you will never have to leave the page, all folder inbox, trash all in same page. Moreover when you will open a folder it will open completely. My inbox opens with more than 400 massages. And there is a preview pane which shows the mail you have selected.

2.Tabbed interface:

Another great thing is tabbed interface, when you open a mail, it will open in its own tab. Moreover any search will also open in its own tab. Compose has also its own tab. The only thing missing is you can not open two folder in two tab.

3.RSS intergration:

A good RSS reader is embedded with yahoo mail which autometically synchs with My Yahoo.

4. DragNDrop:

Another great feature, you can drag and drop any massage or RSS feed to any folder. Or in contact book to autometcally add sender to contact list.

Missing:

But something is still missing such as option is in that old page. So is calander.

Adressbook is in new name contact but many feture of the old adress book is missing such as quick builder.

If you want to see some screenshot you may visit my Flickr page.

Update: New version of Yahoo mail beta released some days ago.

Notable improvments are, Faster mail loading as mail unread mail loads in background when you read other mail. And cool Gmail like spell checking in firfox too.

Sorry that I haven’t blogged for some days.

Anyhow, I have installed new Flock release. though it is not the beta release but it is vastly improved from previous release.

Great new feature includes,

1.New Blog tool: A new blog tool much more like a Blog editor, now can save blog in local file too.( But I can’t find the tagging option,Oops, it comes when I want to publish, great)

2.Whole new interface:A completely new and much more cool interface. I wonder where can I find Flock theme for Firefox.

3.A great feed reader: Flocks new feed reader is great. It’s interface is somehow like Bloglines.

It uses newspaper like format to show feeds, indeed it says feed to be news.

4 .Websnippet: It is a good idea, you can collect some important information there.

5. Automatic searching: As you type in search bar Flock automatically searches in history, favorite and web( top 5 yahoo result)

Though it is not final release, final release is about two weeks from now. But I recommend trying it now.
